It’s been awhile since we’ve seen some material from the Resident Evil series. Better yet, we’ve never seen anything for the 360 console. This is going to be the first RE ever to hit the 360. Excited? Well, maybe you should be because everything you see in the trailer is in-game, besides the obvious cinematic stuff.
If just found this today and it looks like an interesting concept. It’s a game titled Mirror’s Edge and it’s a FPS type action/adventure game. Not sure how much of it is different from Assassin’s Creed style of gameplay, but they’re running on the DICE engine. You play as a free runner who does missions running across roof buildings, inside buildings, and underground. It’s scheduled to be released before the end of this year.
It is just me or does the narrator sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger? Take a take a peek and tell me what you think. From watching this trailer, I’m not really pumped about Wolfenstein. I grew up playing the game and I remember starting out in a jail. That’s about it, maybe finding some gold as well? Aliens? Radical weapons? I don’t remember any of that. Maybe due to the fact that there has been so many other titles that just erased Wolfenstein from my memory I don’t recall these things.
Tomb Raider is probably one of the first action adventure games I played on a PC growing up. A game that actually had substance to it. I still remember back in 1996 thinking that it was an incredible game. Since then there’s been a ton of series not to mention movies. This trailer brings nostalgia in my early years of gaming. Enjoy the trailer.
Now check this out, I know you’ve heard about the new Call of Duty, but have you seen the debut trailer yet? It looks pretty sweet. We know that it takes place in WWII and they’re using the same game engine from Call of Duty 4 (which is not a problem). No more fighting Germans though, more like Japanese. Watching the trailer reminded me of Letters from Iwo Jima. It’s a bit dramatic, but it definitely catches my attention. What do you think? You can also look back on my previous post to see more details.
Is Saints Row 2 better than GTA IV? Now that’s a pretty bold statement considering GTA IV made a huge return, but check out the trailer. It seems like the developers over at THQ are sort of attacking a very similar game and blowing it out of the water with the gameplay Saints Row 2 is providing. I must say, the game does look pretty exciting and it seems like they’re offering many things that other sandbox games lacked. This title is scheduled to launch 10/14/08.
If you were a fan of the Prince of Persia series, expect a new title to come this holiday season. Ubisoft released a new teaser for the game. It will be created for multiple consoles (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC). The trailer doesn’t give too much away, they do tell us that you’ll have a deadly new (hot female) ally. Why is it that video games always represent the females to be strikingly gorgeous. I mean, I’m not complaining about it or anything, but they’re always attractive, have you noticed that? I guess you know what sells these days. Just some food for thought.
For those of you who are familiar with The Alone in the Dark franchise, you may be excited in what is coming this June. Many readers have said this game is going to be epic. There has been some talks of the length of the game being only 10 hours long and some are not too fond of the new driving feature. What do you say about it? Are you afraid of the dark? (wow that was cheesy).
