If you haven’t heard the news about this game, it’s because it’s been kept on the down low from many magazines, shows, websites, etc. People are saying it’s a rip off of Halo, but I beg to differ. The weapons are what truly define this game as unique. It comes out Octover 7th, which is going to leave another big hole in my pocket that month considering there’s Saint’s Row 2 and Fable 2 the following week. Anyways, give it a go on marketplace, it’s about 700+ mbs but you’ll be in for some awesome gameplay!

Tiger Woods’ Jesus Shot
August 23, 2008I thought I might share something fun this weekend. This here was a glitch originally on EA’s Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 posted on YouTube roughly a year back in 2007. EA saw the glitch and created their own version of the video. Take a look.

Mirror’s Edge Gameplay Demo
August 9, 2008
If just found this today and it looks like an interesting concept. It’s a game titled Mirror’s Edge and it’s a FPS type action/adventure game. Not sure how much of it is different from Assassin’s Creed style of gameplay, but they’re running on the DICE engine. You play as a free runner who does missions running across roof buildings, inside buildings, and underground. It’s scheduled to be released before the end of this year.

Godfather 2 Expect February 2009
August 8, 2008
EA announced today that they will have the sequel to Godfather coming in 2009. As The Don you control the family, sending your men on missions while heading off into action with others.
“The Godfather II expands on the popular gameplay mechanics of the first game and doubles down on the series’ signature BlackHand control scheme, which now features even more visceral hand-to-hand brutality at your fingertips, introducing a new combo system, pressure tactics and executions. In The Godfather II, players will fight alongside their hand-picked crew, who have their own skills and expertise. Each family member specializes in a specific field such as demolitions, arson, engineering, first-aid and more.”
Be sure to check out The Godfather II on Friday, August 15th on Spike TV. The entire episode will be dedicated to The Godfather II including behind-the-scenes, the debut of the trailer and a look into the game.

Splinter Cell Conviction April 09
July 25, 2008
Yes it’s delayed once again. At least it’s only April right? Splinter Cell Conviction is being delayed until Ubisoft’s next fiscal year. That means April, which is nine months from now. There wasn’t a specification on the delay. Money? Development? Errors? Pride? Who knows…
“One title gamers won’t be seeing anytime soon is the new Splinter Cell. The game had been scheduled for release in Ubisoft’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2008-09, but the publisher shifted its release to “bolster the line-up for fiscal 2009-10.” That means gamers could see it in April 2009 at the earliest.”

Happy 4th of July
July 4, 2008
Today is Independence Day. Yes some of us might just think it’s just another holiday except we get firework, barbecues, baseball games and picnics but there is a fair reason for this national holiday. The Thirteen Colonies and Great Britain were at war and it was the very act of John Hancock signing the Declaration of Independence claiming our independence from Great Britain. Scottish Comedian recently turned American, Craig Ferguson stated “what, I love about being American is that I have the right to purse life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness“
After the jump, Craig Ferguson becoming an American Citizen

Call of Duty: World At War Debut Trailer
June 21, 2008
Now check this out, I know you’ve heard about the new Call of Duty, but have you seen the debut trailer yet? It looks pretty sweet. We know that it takes place in WWII and they’re using the same game engine from Call of Duty 4 (which is not a problem). No more fighting Germans though, more like Japanese. Watching the trailer reminded me of Letters from Iwo Jima. It’s a bit dramatic, but it definitely catches my attention. What do you think? You can also look back on my previous post to see more details.
