What’s called to be the ‘best olympics game’ is now officially available on Xbox Live to download as a demo. You might have been having some withdrawals on the olympics. I know I have. I miss waking up in the morning and flipping to NBC only to realize it’s not there anymore. But I do believe the winter olympics are coming soon…

If you haven’t noticed already, Xbox live is in support of Rock The Vote campaign and users have been downloading icons and these are the results as of this morning. The numbers are much higher now. You get the idea though. “Xbox LIVE partnered with Rock The Vote in an intiative to get gamers to register. Not picking sides, mind you. Just to register. As part of that initiative they released free Rock the Vote gamerpics for players to attach to their gamercard. One for Obama. One for McCain.”

Some of you might have been looking for the new downloadable content for Rock Band. I know that many people are already upset about this delay and Harmonix has a lot to make up for. “According to the announcement post on the official Rock Band forums, the problem may keep the album from being available for a couple weeks.” On a side note: Rock Band 2 has some better news which will include the full albums of the following:
- Foo Fighters — “The Colour and the Shape”
- Red Hot Chili Peppers — “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”
- Jane’s Addiction — “Nothing’s Shocking”
- Megadeth — “Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying”
- Stevie Ray Vaughn — “Texas Flood”

If you’ve been waiting for this long for Castle Crashers, you probably know by now that it is now available. The Behemoth officially released Castle Crashers and its four player, beat-em-up online co-op to the Xbox Live Arcade. The price tag is a bit hefty, but I’m sure it’s worth the 1200 Microsoft points ($15). Some notable features included: 40 different weapons, over 22 unlockable characters, a leveling system, helpful animal orbs and Arena Mode.

Be sure to check this one out. I’ve got the game pre-ordered and it’ll be in stores September 16th. There’s much hype about this game and many are disappointed that there’s no multiplayer on this title release, but think about all those other great games that don’t have multiplayer that are a huge success. Metal Gear Solid, Zelda, BioShock, Assassin’s Creed. A game doesn’t always need to have multiplayer.
“The demo takes place during one of the first levels in the game, known as the “TIE Fighter Construction Facility” — we assume it’s the same area featured in the recent batch of previews for the title. It will also contain a training mode which will allow the player to get a firm grasp on the Force Grip power.”

If you remember titled called Jade Empire, either you’ve played the game, or never even heard of it (probably forgot about it). Jade Empire is available in Xbox Originals catalog in XBLM. The price tag is $15 Microsoft points and about 6.2GB, you can experience BioWare’s classic RPG. Honestly, for 6.2GB on my hard drive space and paying $15 for it? I don’t buy it, it’s just not worth it. I’m so sure that this game has a better bargain out there somewhere in an actual store. Am I wrong to say that?
