First of all, I wanted to apologize for lack of updates, I’ve been out of town for the past few days. Anywaysm moving on, coming this fall is a redesigned existing Xbox 360 dashboard. The new dashboard will still allow themes as seen in the image above. “The new download area for content is completely overhauled with the ability to add more information regarding the download for a specific game. Scrolling through each piece of content displays the window of information, reducing the amount of button presses it takes to jump into purchasing or learning more. We’d hope the new design would allow for a full display of gamer pictures, but with the new Avatar system we doubt it’s a focus.”
More pictures after the jump.

Quantum of Solace if you haven’t heard is a direct parallel of the movie. It takes place right after Casino Royale and you play the character of James Bond (obviously). Some note worthy mentions are the Call of Duty 4 engine and destructible environments. It’s still some time away before this title is released. We can expect it near the end of this year in November when the movie is released along with this game. As for now, check out a preview of what’s to come and the movie trailer after the jump.

I’m wondering if Microsoft didn’t even want to advertise this price drop and surprise customers as they walked into stores. This is just some leaked info from Kotaku and it looks pretty legit to me. (What do you think?) Anyways the 13th is this coming Sunday and a GameStop employee had sent in these pictures from their phone. They also included pics of the shelf art all of which will go on display on July 13, the day before E3 kicks off with Microsoft’s press conference. If you haven’t already picked up a 360 yet, I don’t know what you’re doing, there no excuse not not to get one anymore.

Today is Independence Day. Yes some of us might just think it’s just another holiday except we get firework, barbecues, baseball games and picnics but there is a fair reason for this national holiday. The Thirteen Colonies and Great Britain were at war and it was the very act of John Hancock signing the Declaration of Independence claiming our independence from Great Britain. Scottish Comedian recently turned American, Craig Ferguson stated “what, I love about being American is that I have the right to purse life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness“
After the jump, Craig Ferguson becoming an American Citizen

I don’t know how appealing this box art is to you, but it’s definitely appealing to me. It boggles my mind to see an image like that and to consider what kind of game I’ll be playing on the day that this title is released. I mean, we know that it takes place in space and you play the role of an engineer named Isaac Clarke. The story revolves around Isaac waking up in a nightmare where the rest of the ship’s crew is found dead by aliens and you must find your way to survive. Sound appealing to me. Just as long as it’s not as cheesy as doom and has a good scare factor, I’m pumped! Remember to keep your hands and feets inside while in a moving vehicle.

This is Vegas was originally suppose to ship in the end of 2008, it seems like we’re going to be expecting some delays. If you don’t already know what this game is going to be about, it’s a lifestyle action experience, where players will live out their Vegas fantasies by fighting, gambling, driving and partying their way through sin city. The delay is because Midway wanted the developing team to have more time on the game. “Midway is committed to developing and publishing the best quality products. It is important for us to make sure the game was given the development time needed in order to make This is Vegas a triple-A videogame and a must-have for all PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC owners.”

As some of you may know, the Playstation is continuously upgrading and improving their interface as we speak. Considering that Microsoft has pretty much kept a simple layout for the time being, a group of fanboys made an interest take on their idea of a dashboard. It is said that only about 12% of the Dashboard’s current screen real estate is devoted to actual user-specific content. Their speculative “dream” design addresses that, along with the still not-quite-there content location features. What’s your take on the dashboard we currently have?
